Fannette Island sits in the middle of Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe and is home to the iconic “Tea House.” The Tea House was constructed in 1928-29 by Lora J. Knight who lived in the Vikingsholm Castle on the edge of Emerald Bay. After being transported out to the island by boat, Lora Knight and guests would be served tea in the little castle. Sunrise in this location never gets old.
